Take for instance ''Mr. K ''who was involved in a motorcycle vs. automobile collision. He was medivac'd by helicopter to Queens Emergency Medical Center. After two surgeries and being unable to work for several months, an insurance company adjuster told him that she would pay him policy limits of $40,000 and that if he hired an attorney, the attorney would automatically get one-third and reduce his portion.
